Chicken Crossing: Why I Love This Photo

Documentary Family

Living in northern California has its perks, especially when the sun-soaked days beckon us outdoors. Recently, my family and I embarked on a delightful excursion to a local farm, a hidden gem that houses a charming brew and eatery. This farm boasts an inviting outdoor space where children can frolic to their heart's content.

As we made our way from the dusty parking lot to the bustling main area, we were greeted by a chorus of clucking chickens—a quintessential sight on any farm.

We noticed a young child paused in their tracks, allowing the feathered flock to cross their path leisurely. It was a simple yet heartwarming moment that encapsulated the gentle spirit of rural life.

Once the chickens had safely made their way to the lush grassy area, the young adventurer resumed their playful sprint, eager to rejoin their siblings in the day's adventures.

Capturing this fleeting moment was a joyous endeavor as my lens documented childhood's warmth, innocent curiosity, and boundless energy. In the background, subtle movements hint at the bustling activity of fellow farm visitors, adding depth to the narrative unfolding before us.
