The art of family documentary photography truly shines when I'm invited into a home to capture the love and legacy built over generations. This spring, I had the immense honor of touring a family wheat farm in picturesque southeastern Washington before the harvest season.
Nestled in a quaint rural community embraced by majestic mountain ranges, this warm and loving family has tended to their nearly 3,000-acre wheat farm for four generations with unwavering dedication. Beyond the rustic gate lies a vast expanse of fertile land, meticulously harvested and nurtured by their skilled hands season after season.
Even after witnessing the sheer size of the family farm, I still find myself in awe of its grandeur. Each family member has a treasure trove of personal stories tied to specific vehicles, tools, and patches of land they've tended over the years. One particular area, affectionately dubbed "the eyebrow," is renowned for its tricky navigation, adding an extra layer of challenge to their labors.
